4th Of July Without Any Fireworks

This year for the 4th of July we went to Benson to spend the day with James's family. The city decided not to do fire works that night because of how dry it had been (or so they said) but we still had a fun day! We started our day with breakfast at Grandma Post's where Carter got to climb the big tree she has in her back yard, swing on the hammock swing and chase the kittens.  Then we went to the parade which was pretty good. Carter loved sitting on the side of the road with his cousins Cameron and Colton and catching and eating the candy that was thrown to him. The clouds started rolling in when we first got to the parade and before the parade was over it started raining pretty hard and everyone left before the parade was over. We had a BBQ that evening and did some of our own fire works but Carter was scared of them.  I also got to jar fresh honey with my MIL, Sister in law and Grandma Post.  We had a great Day!

When it started raining we all headed for cover. This is James and his mom going back out in the rain to save Carter's candy that he wanted!
