So we aren't very good chicken farmers. We had 7 chickens. 6 hens and 1 rooster. well our dogs killed one of them, the chickens killed one of them, we think a coyote killed three of them and then our pigs killed the last hen. Yes the pigs killed one of them. It flew into the pig's pen and they ate it. Who knew a pig would do that! Well, after we didn't have any hens I missed having the fresh eggs. So, my sweet mother in law gave us 4 of her chickens. These chickens lay these pretty brown speckled eggs. I love them!
