Our Baby Goat

This is our baby goat. Cole and Carli named him "Sammy". As you can see he learned to eat from the bottle and actually like it. At first we had to make him take it which took a while but for the last week or so he has been taking it on his own and actually got excited about it. We would walk out to the goat pin to feed the goats and while the other goats would be looking for the hay Sammy would wait at the gate until we let him out and then he would get right on the bottle. Very cute little goat and he actually liked us and would follow us where as the other goats don't really like us so much. As cute as he was he is no longer with us. Last Wednesday I fed him in the morning and by the time James got home from work that afternoon Sammy had started to get bloated and ended up dying before we could do anything. We were so sad because he was so cute and we enjoyed feeding him with the bottle. I guess we aren't very good goat farmers yet and still have a lot to learn about goats.
