Going Camping

For James' birthday this year we went camping for a few days and James got to fish.  He was in heaven! This was Carter's first camping trip and I think he had a lot of fun.

 Just outside of Payson Carter was tired of being in his car seat and was getting grouchy so we stopped and let him walk around a bit.

When we finally got to the camp sight and Carter wanted to help dad put up the tent.  Once it was up he LOVED it!

After we got our camp set up we went to the lake.  We put Carter's life vest on and got on the boat.  Well, that lasted all of maybe 5 min.  He did NOT like it one bit.  So James took us back to the shore and Carter and I went back to camp while dad did some fishing.  James brought back 2 fish that night which we had for dinner and they were so yummy!  So Carter didn't like the boat and being on the water but he did love playing in the dirt.

So there was this paved walk path that went from our camp all the way to the lake.  The first day I was walking on it with Carter I found this little bridge that I thought would make some awesome pictures.  So the next day we took Carter and took some pictures.



I thought this was SO cute.  We were walking and I was pushing the stroller and James was walking along the side of it and Carter put out is hand and held James' hand while we walked.  How cute is that!

 Where we were camping there was a camp host.  She was a really nice lady.  When we were headed to the lake the first day she stopped us and told us that a while back while she was fishing she caught something on her pole and when she reeled it in it was a kids scooby doo fishing pole.  She had cleaned it up and asked if she could give it to Carter.  He LOVED it!

Carter loves to carry around my empty Diet Coke cans and pretend he is drinking them.  So when I got one out and put it in the chair he tried and tried to get it out.

The last morning we were there I gave him this thing of Pops and he carried it around everywhere.

And then finally he ate them.

We had a lot of fun and I'm sure it is only the first of many camping trips Carter will go on.  We can't wait to go again!
