Huntington Beach

This year my oldest brother turned 40. A year ago his wife started planning his birthday for this year and wanted to take the whole family on a 7 day cruise She wanted it to be a surprise for my brother. None of the kids were told so no one would accidentaly say something. I'm impressed we were able to keep if from my brother for a whole year. We headed to California on Friday the 20th. Dacia, Marshall and us left at the same time. My parents, Chad and Ryan's family left later that day. The whole way to Californina we were only about 10 miles behind Ryan and Whitney. We were the last car and James usually doesn't drive fast so Dacia texted us to tell us that it was ok if James wanted to speed they wouldn't tell anyone. Well, maybe 10 min later we saw them on the side of the road pulled over for speeding. When we got to California we took the kids to Huntington Beach. Saturday morning we all met Ryan and Whitney at their hotel and surprised Ryan and that is where Whitney told him we were all going on a 7 day cruise that left the next day. We spent all day Saturday at Knox Berry Farm and then got on the ship Sunday morning. We had such a good time! We stopped in Cabo for two days and then Puerto Vallarta for one day. Carter loved seeing his cousins every day. I'm going to put the pictures in a few different posts because there is WAY too many pictures to do all one post.

So when we got to Cali we went straight to Huntington Beach. It was the first time Carter had been to the beach. I took his shoes off so he could walk on the beach but he didn't like having his shoes off and didn't like the feel of the sand on his feet. (He definitely gets that from his dad) :) James tried to get him to get close to the water but Carter really didn't like the water. We had fun walking along the beach and it was so pretty there. It was also VERY cold. Qwynci didn't mind the water until she fell in and it was so cold. Jayden and Carli took off right when we got there and jumped into the water and they were freezing the rest of the time we were there. Crazy girls!
