Missouri 2012

The first two weeks in May Carter and I went out to Missouri with Virginia. One of James's nephews was dancing in the cultural celebration for the dedication of the Kansas City Missouri Temple and another nephew was graduating from high school within a week of each other. Virginia wanted to go out there for those two things and invited Carter and I to come along. James wanted to go but he couldn't get the time off work. The drive out to Missouri is about 24 hours. Carter did AMAZING considering how long he was in the car seat. While we were out there we went to the cultural celebration which was really neat and what an amazing experience to be in the presence of a Prophet for a night! We went to Jeremy's basketball and baseball games, went with Megan's class to Incredible Pizza, got to play with cousin Karlii, went to Silver Dollar City and attended Ryan's graduation from High School. We had such a fun time!

Monday night we had a BBQ and Megan got the water guns out and had a water fight with Carter and Karlii

This is at Incredible pizza. Carter would not get off this train ride. I think he rode it a least a dozen times!

On the shuttle that takes us from the parking lot to Silver Dollar City.  Before we got on they said if you have young children that can't touch the floor while sitting they  need to sit in the middle. Well Virginia, Megan, Carter and I were all sitting together and none of us could touch the floor!

Carter would stop playing to wave at the Amish as they rode by. While driving Virginia would slow down when we passed them so Carter could see the horses.

On our way home we stopped at the Precious Moments Museum near Joplin. I love that place! 

We stopped at the Continental Divide on our way home. I wanted to get a picture of Carter but he was too interested in the dogs that were there than looking at me!
